Welcome to my blog, where I hope you will find encouragement on your homeschool journey. Homeschooling and living a good, full life at home can be often difficult, lonely, and chaotic, and I desire to bring a semblance of beauty, companionship, and hope into your busy days.

Mostly you’ll find homeschool help, some book reviews, meal ideas, and a small miscellany of my attempts at a life of reflection and intention. It’s a peek into a quiet home life.

I’m so thankful you have chosen to spend some of your time in my little corner of the world. I wish we could share a cup of coffee or tea, but at least here we can talk about beauty, knowledge, books and the good life together.
I’m a wife, mother of four, and Christian. I love reading and writing, am an Anglophile, love gardening and flowers, and would be happy living on coffee, tea, and scones. I have a B.A. in English Language and Literature, a M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education, and taught prekindergarten and mid-elementary in private schools.
I homeschool my four children, where we range from elementary to high school, and fill our days with reading, ‘riting, and ‘rithmatic. Classical music is always floating in the background.
Books have played an important role in my life. I have the fondest memories being read to by my mom and dad; as a teenager, books got me through peer pressure and gave me an anchor when everything was confusing, difficult, and lonely. Through the classics I forged connections with men and women through the ages. As a mother, I have spent countless hours cuddled with my sweet babies, and now I see my children turning to books for guidance, companionship, and life lessons. We now delve into literature in our homeschool, diving into living books for knowledge and wisdom.
It is my deepest desire, my passion, to share the rich heritage of literature with families who seek to love the Lord with all their heart, soul, and mind (Matthew 22:37). We have been given a gift through books, and the impact good literature can have on our lives is priceless.
My personal mission statement can be summed up in Philippians 8:4:
